An exploration of contemporary social and cultural patterns in film consumption across modern India (2000–2025), this book seeks to map and define cinephilia in its many evolving forms within the region.

Methodology:
The study draws on interviews, case studies of urban media consumption, and examinations of social media cinephilia, film clubs, academic institutions, film festivals, regional cinemas—with particular attention to South Indian cinephilia—and emerging digital trends.
